Induction Chilled Beams for Buildings

 

Presentation:           Introduction to induction chilled beams, including how they operate, how they are installed and how they save energy in new and existing buildings. Benefits and advantages of an induction chilled beam system over conventional design systems will be reviewed.

 

Speakers:                 Bill Shultes is VP of Applications for Nuclimate Air Quality Systems. He has been in the HVAC business for 45 years, an ASHRAE member since 1968 and was the Syracuse ASHRAE chapter president in 1981.

                        Bob Trahan is a principal at Mechanical Innovations of New England. He has a degree in Energy Systems Engineering Technology with HVAC System Design emphasis from Franklin Institute of Boston. Bob has many years of experience designing, estimating and project managing mechanical projects.

 

Meeting Focus:       Membership Promotion is how our chapter and ASHRAE as a society grows and impacts our industry. John Grout, our MP chair, has organized a raffle for two $50 gift cards. All you need to do to enter the raffle is to bring a prospective new member (someone who has not attended a meeting this year). The member whose name is drawn and their guest will win the gift cards.

 

Toys for Tots:         We invite you to bring a toy (or two) to the meeting in support of Toys for Tots. The toys will be collected and delivered to a local drop off location to help all families share the joy of Christmas.

Note:              Granite State ASHRAE is a non-profit organization.  Consequently, cancellations will be charged due to our obligation to the restaurant.
